Vertria Partners with Three African Universities to Launch Mentorship Program

A new initiative bringing global mentors to students across Africa.

Vertria is expanding its global reach with a new mentorship initiative connecting experienced professionals with students at three leading African universities.

The Vision

The program pairs students in business, technology, and social enterprise programs with Vertria-trained mentors who provide guidance on career planning, skill development, and professional readiness. The goal is to bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace demands.

How It Works

Each mentorship pairing runs for one academic semester. Mentors and students meet bi-weekly through virtual sessions, with two in-person workshops hosted at each university. Topics range from resume building and interview preparation to leadership fundamentals and entrepreneurial thinking.

Why Africa

Africa has one of the youngest and fastest-growing populations in the world. Investing in mentorship now creates a pipeline of skilled, confident professionals who will shape the continent's economic future. Vertria believes that access to quality coaching and mentorship shouldn't be limited by geography.

The pilot launches in September 2026 at universities in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. If successful, Vertria plans to expand to additional institutions across the continent by 2027.
